1. Your school requires that you take at least one semester of gym. How do you feel and what will you do?
Well if they say we have to take it, I guess I’ll take it. Of course I may skip a class or two, but only when they’re doing the real strenuous stuff. I’m a little stressed, mostly about changing in front of everyone. I’ll probably get to class as quickly as possible and try to change before everyone arrives. That way no one will have a chance to judge me. Umm, I’m going to the doctor ASAP. There has to be a medical reason that I can get out of this requirement. I’m excited to take gym. I think this should be required every semester. It gives you such a great boost of energy in the middle of the day.
2. Everyone has a daily routine. Which of the following do you do just about every day?
Eat a full meal and maybe go for a run. Work out for three hours and then weigh myself. Watch TV and surf the internet. Eat a little and play a pick up game with my friends.
3. Oh no, you have to go to the doctor. No one loves this little adventure, but what do you dread most about going?
Uh, needles? I know that I need vaccines, but if I could avoid a shot, I would. I hate being lectured to, which my doctor always does when I tell her about my activities (or lack there of). Really? People dread going for their annual physical? Why? I’m really anxious about stepping on that scale. I hate other people judging my weight.
4. Okay, so you and your friends are having a real Mean Girls moment in front of the mirror. What are you most likely to do or say?
There’s always something I’m going to be unhappy with. I think it’s more important to focus on being happy. Ugh my arms are a flabby, my butt is too round and I have a double chin. I wish I could change it all. I don’t even want to look. There’s no point. I know I’m out of shape and I don’t care. I’m actually really impressed with how toned my thighs are looking lately. I’ve been doing some good work.
5. So you’re driving past McDonalds. How do you feel and what do you do?
Ugh, I always feel a little ill when I pass a McDonald’s. I’m craving it, but I keep driving. My body can not afford the calories. Hungry! I pull over for a Super Value Meal. It depends, if I’m having a real craving, I might stop for some fries or something. It's really no big deal either way.
