1. Wow, college graduation is around the corner and you have to make some pretty big decisions. The first one is where you are going to live. So tell us, where do you think you want to settled down?
Eh, I'm just going to go where my friends are going. Where ever my friends are, that's home to me. Sigh, I have no idea. I'll probably end up back home with my parents, holed up in my basement. That's really the only place where I feel completely myself. I want to go to the city man. That’s where everything is happening. The streets are always bangin’ with life and I want to be a part of that. I'm not sure where exactly, but I know I want to live in a place that has a lot of culture to explore. It certainly has to be a place ripe with underground clubs, where new music is always emerging. I want to go somewhere where there is wide open space. I need to see land sprawling out in front of me and be a part of the earth.
2. Where you discover music is almost as important as what type of music you listen to everyday. So tell us, where did you find the last great band that you listen to obsessively now?
I keep my ears to the street and listen to the vibe man. That’s the only way to find music that is real. I found it online. It’s where I spend most of my time any way. It’s the only place where people really understand me and my taste. I was just flipping through my folks old forty fives and came across a classic album that I loved. My friends or the radio. It’s easy really. If everyone is talking about it or its constantly being played on MTV, you know when you go to the mall they’re going to have a copy of it right up front. I look every where for music. I read tons of blogs, go to record stores constantly and am always talking to people to hear what new sounds are around.
3. Where do you normally go to see the bands that you like play?
Oh a million places. There are some many underground music venues, lofts and coffee houses. You could literally discover good music just about any where. I go to the clubs, man. They’re always spinnin' the freshest tunes. I don't really go any where to see music. I prefer to listen to music in my bedroom alone. Usually concerts I go to are held at big stadiums. It’s so much fun to see a band with like ten thousand other people around you. A good outdoor festival with some beer and a hot dog is always the best way to see music. It just feel real personal, ya know?
4. Values are a key part of music these days. So what type of values does the music you like to listen to really promote?
The music I’m into is classic and talks about good old fashion values like love and family. My music typically plunges into the depths of a soul for its inspiration. It speaks to directly to the heart. Music and values? Music is just suppose to be about fun! The music I listen to tells real stories about real struggles. It’s rough and it tells people how things really are, not how they’d like things to be. A lot of the music I listen to is making a commentary on the times. Whether it’s talking about our generation or making us think about politics, it generally always has a message of some sort.
5. Image is as much a part of music as sound. So what do the people who create your music generally look like?
They’re gangsta There is no one look, just like there is no core sound to the music I like. They’re always highly fashionable and chic. They’re the salt of the earth type. They’re dark and brooding like their music.
