1. Okay, so the quickest way for us to determine what you’re really looking for in a partner is to just ask. So, what are you looking for in a partner?

Really, I’d like someone who compliments me in every way. We have similar interest, but are different enough to still discover things through one another.
I’d like to finally find someone who is sensitive to me and my needs. Is that too much to ask?
Some exciting and fairly unpredictable. My last significant other could always be counted upon to call right on time or show up when he/she said they would. It just got a little old after a while.
I’m not really sure. Whenever I think about hooking up long term I break out in hives. Eww, itchy!

2. When you think back on your last relationship, what was it that really made you fall in love with the person you were dating?

Well, there are goo things and bad things in every relationship. I think over the years I’ve developed a pretty extensive list, but also realize that no one is perfect, so I have to choose what I’m willing to compromise.
I really enjoyed it when the person would go out of their comfort zone and try something totally new.
It was great when we could just settle down and be together for a little while. It was really hard to get alone time with the person I dated.
Well initially I liked having someone around, but then it just became a burden.

3. When you are choosing a friend, which is almost like choosing a significant other, what qualities do you look for in the person?

My friends are all good listeners and caring. It’s important to have people to depend upon.
Someone who is really out there and challenges me to really do things that I might not otherwise do.
I like it when people aren’t too needy and understand space.
I like people to be loyal and true.

4. Okay you’re at a bar and you spot the hottest girl/guy across the way. You go up to speak to him or her, but within ten minutes you’re pretty sure this person is not right for you. What did he or she do to turn you off so quickly?

Oh they were way too attentive. Like they wanted to hear everything I said the minute I started talking. Please!
They were talking about how they party all the time. No thanks, I actually need someone with substance.
It just didn’t seem like we had too much in common, which is really important for me these days.
They were just really sweet and charming. There was nothing exactly wrong, just nothing very exciting either.

5. You’re totally flirting online with someone you find hot. The person writes you back something that blows your mind. What does he or she say?

That they’re about to go get drunk on the train track, so they have to jam. Umm, how cool is that?
Oh we just stumbled upon the fact that we both like this obscure garage rock band. It was kind of random, but cool to know we have such similar taste.
That he/she really understands where I’m coming from. Sweet right?
They said, “Who are you again.” That was sort of hot.
