Is It Really Over?

We met the first day of elementary school and were practically inseparable. Now it just seems like I can barely find this person.
We've known each other off and on for a while. Sometimes we see a whole lot of each other and sometimes we can go weeks without really talking.
We met last month at a party and it seemed like there was a really deep connection between us.
Oh we've been friends for a few years or we just started dating a few months ago. Still this person should return my phone calls, right?

We had a huge fight and now this person won't return any of my text, e-mails or calls, even though I've tried to apologize like a million times.
Nothing really happened. We each got caught up in very different groups and now it just seems like we never speak.
Well, we didn't really know each other well enough for something to HAPPEN persay. We were just talking a lot and trying to coordinate a time to finally hang out together in a non-group setting and then the communications just sort of trailed off.
I don't know, we both got busy or whatever, but there's really no reason he/she should be pissed at me. I mean, I have a life. I'm sorry that I didn't get back to your e-mail for three days, but that is no reason to shut me out!

I've sent a few e-mails. You know just to kind of see what's up.
I might have sent a text or called a week or two ago. I don't really remember.
I've sent a few e-mails and post a comment on his/her profile.
I've sent multiple text and e-mails. I've called two or three times and have tried to talk with him/her on IM, but he/she never seems to be there any more.

This person used to get back to an e-mail in like a day or two, but now it's pretty much nothing.
Not at all. It's been like talking to a wall.
I'll get sporadic e-mails from this person.
Well, usually I'll hear back, but not for like four or five days.

I would probably say I was sorry for the one millionth time and ask if it was truly over.
Lets finally get together. I want to get to know you.
OMG! I'm so sorry I never got back. Things have been incredibly hectic. Please don't be mad.
